He was a member of the Audit Committee and Chaired the Independent Directors Committee. He has served as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association as a consultant for numerous technology companies. He has also served as a director of a technology company and has been a speaker at numerous industry conferences. He routinely works as a liaison between engineering and legal departments in the corporate sector. Mr. Miller has served on committees for the National Fire Protection Act and as an invited speaker at DARPA. His technology company was nominated for the NOZKO Award for Excellence in Management, presented by the University of Connecticut School of Business.

Attorney Miller is a member of numerous sportsmen's associations, including: Northwest Sportsmen's Association, Inc., Fairfield County Fish & Game Protective Association, Cos Cob Revolver & Rifle Club, Inc., Connecticut Travelers Sporting Association, and serves in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and as a fire-police officer in Newtown, Connecticut.
